Ending the year in Morocco
Never being one to celebrate the new year in the UK... this year's destination is Morocco. The trip started briefly in Casablanca and then continued on to Marakesh and the Sahara. The trip itself included the following highlights Essaouira, the Atlas mountains, Telouet and Ait Benhaddou (where Gladiator was filmed).

Off to Sweden
Sent away with work to do some training... that's the bad news part of the equation. The good news was the training was in Sweden and involved spending an evening in Copenhagen en route.

Scuba Videos Added
Something I have been meaning to do for ages but only just got around to doing! A collection of seven videos that were taken while diving in Sharm in 2004 have now been added to the scuba diving section. Also added are a huge collection of photos from a diving trip back to Egypt in Sep 2006.

Hornets win Guildford Festival!
After seven years of touring the Hornets have finally won their first competitive tour. With an impressive record of 8 wins out of 10 matches over two days the Hornets walked away with the Trophy.

Diving article published - "Million Hope - Sunk for a Decade"
An article I wrote about on of the shipwrecks in the Red Sea has been published on www.deeperblue.net. The article discusses the wreck of the Million Hope and its decline as a dive site over the ten years since it sank.

Even more travelling - Vietnam, Cambodia & Thailand
Another foreign trip has been confirmed! Sadly, it is much shorter this time - just 16 days. The trip comprises of two main elements, the first part is travelling from Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) via Cambodia, ending up in Bangkok, Thailand. The second part is a short hop down to Phuket for 5 days to do some scuba diving. The full itinery is as follows:
- 05/06-May Flight from Heathrow - arrive Saigon, Vietnam
- 07-May Mekong Delta, travel through rural Vietnam to the Cambodian border at Chao Doc
- 08-May Travel along the Mekong river to Phenom Penh, Cambodia
- 09-May Visit to the Killing Fields, Royal Palace & Silver Pagoda
- 10-May Fly to Siem Reap to make a base to explore the temple complex
- 11/12-May Visit to the temples of Angkor Wat
- 13-May Travel by road to the Thai border and then onto Bangkok, Thailand
- 14-May Day relaxing & exploring Bangkok
- 15-May A second day in Bangkok, flying on to Phuket later that evening
- 16/20-May Scuba Diving in Phuket and the surrounding islands (Koh Tao & Koh Samui)
- 21-May Early return flight to Bangkok, transfer to London flight
